Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information VoIP Cost Guide collects, why, and what choices you have. In short: this is a read-mostly educational site; we collect as little as we reasonably can.
Information you send us
If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, topic and message you submit, and we use them solely to read and reply to your enquiry. Form submissions are screened by an automated anti-spam check (including a hidden field that human visitors never see or fill in). We do not sell, rent or share contact-form information with marketers, and we do not add you to any mailing list because you wrote to us.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which guides are read, how readers arrive (for example, from a search engine), and which content to improve or expand. Analytics cookies record pseudonymous usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location at city level, device type and referring site. This data is aggregated for reporting; we do not use it to identify individual readers, and we do not combine it with contact-form information. You can block analytics cookies in your browser, or install Google's opt-out add-on, without affecting your ability to read any part of this site.
Ads
If ads are introduced on this site in the future, ad partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where you have consented to them.
Any such change will be reflected in this policy before or when it takes effect, including how to opt out of personalized advertising through your browser or device settings.Cookies
Apart from analytics (and advertising, if introduced), this site sets no accounts, has no login, and uses no functional cookies of its own. Your browser may cache pages and images locally to load the site faster; you can clear that cache at any time. Because the site is a static publication with no accounts or checkout, it never asks for passwords, payment details or government identifiers, and any page or message claiming to collect them in our name should be treated as fraudulent and reported through the contact form.
Links to other sites
Our guides link to standards documents (such as RFCs published by the IETF), regulators and other references. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
How we protect information
We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards proportionate to what we hold: access to messages and analytics is limited to the editorial team, transport to and from the site is encrypted with HTTPS, and we do not store information we do not need — there are no user accounts, passwords or payment details on this site to protect in the first place. No safeguard is absolute, and like any website we cannot guarantee security against every possible event; the practical protection is the small amount of data described in this policy.
Data retention and your rights
Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle the enquiry and maintain a reasonable record of corrections to our content. Analytics data is retained in aggregated reporting for a limited period consistent with understanding content performance over time, then ages out of our reports. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you — write via the contact page and we will respond. This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the revised version will be posted here with a new last-updated date. Continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
