Terms of Use

By the VoIP Cost Guide Editorial Team  |  Last updated: October 2026

By using VoIP Cost Guide you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Educational content

All content on this site — guides, cost models, worked examples, checklists and diagrams — is general educational information about VoIP technology and pricing. It is not professional engineering, legal, tax or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified engineer, attorney or accountant advising on your situation. VoIP configuration can affect emergency calling; any change to a live phone system should be reviewed by your provider or a qualified professional, particularly where E911 service is involved.

Accuracy and availability

We work to keep content accurate and current, and each page shows when it was last updated. VoIP standards, provider pricing, taxes and fee schedules change, however, and we do not warrant that any figure, procedure or statement on this site is complete, current or applicable to your system or contract. Verify pricing and regulatory figures with the provider or authority concerned before acting on them. The site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, and we may change, move or remove content at any time.

Intellectual property

The text, diagrams and design of this site are owned by VoIP Cost Guide or its licensors and are protected by copyright. You may read, print and share links to pages for personal or internal business use. You may not republish substantial portions of the content, scrape the site in bulk, or present its content as your own. Standards documents linked from this site (such as IETF RFCs) belong to their respective publishers and are governed by their own terms.

Submissions through the contact form

By sending a message through the contact form you confirm the content is yours to share and does not contain another person's private information (including call recordings, packet captures containing personal data, or credentials for any system). Suggestions and corrections you send may inform updates to our guides; you grant us permission to use the substance of a correction or suggestion in our content without attribution or payment, and we will not publish your name or email address with it. Do not send confidential business information you are not free to share.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use this site to disrupt its operation, probe for vulnerabilities, submit unlawful or abusive material through the contact form, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation. Automated access that imposes an unreasonable load on the site is prohibited; ordinary search-engine indexing is welcome.

Third-party links and providers

Mention of a provider, carrier, product or service is for explanation and example only and is not an endorsement. We are not a party to any agreement you make with a third party, and we are not responsible for third-party products, services, pricing or websites.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VoIP Cost Guide and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of this site or reliance on its content, including telephone-service outages or misconfiguration of your systems. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. We may revise these terms by posting an updated version here; the revision takes effect when posted, and your continued use of the site constitutes acceptance. If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect, and the unenforceable provision will be read as narrowly as possible to preserve its intent. Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact page.
